"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." James 2:26 (NIV)

In response to God's love for us, RPC is committed to demonstrating this love in practical ways to others. Listed below are projects currently being undertaken.

Please fill out our visitors enquiry form if you would like to find out more information about how you can contribute to any of the following projects.

Operation Christmas Child

"This year, help us send 320,000 shoeboxes to kids in South-east Asia and the South Pacific. Every year, people of all ages, families, churches, schools, businesses pack shoeboxes with gifts for children in need. Globally, more than 100 million shoeboxes have been given to kids in need in more than 130 countries since 1993. An Operation Christmas Child shoebox is more than a gift...it opens up a world of life-changing opportunities for the child, their family and their community. No matter how old or young you are, pack a shoebox this year for a child who has nothing." [Taken from Operation Christmas Child Website]

How You Can Give

Our Target: This year, we as a church community are aiming to contribute 1000 boxes to Operation Christmas Child. Throughout the year we will be running evenings to pack shoe boxes, and purchase items for shoeboxes which you can be a part of. By God's grace we will achieve our target to provide 1000 children with not only a present, but the opportunity to be connected to the Gospel. A number of other ways you can contribute is:

  • Provide items for the shoeboxes: pencils, washcloths, small exercise books, small toys (including soft toys), toddler clothing items,
  • Provide a financial amount. It costs $9 postage per box- a financial contribution will assist in covering such costs.

This project will be running until November.

Food Bank

As a church community we ensure a food bank is available to supply the practical need of a meal for members of our church. Food is available for individuals who are either unwell, or experiencing a time of hardship. Food will be distributed to congregation members by the overseers of the food bank.

How You Can Give

  • Prepare a home cooked meal
  • Provide baked goods

** A list of ingredients must be provided with any dish/meal/baked items to avoid allergic reactions. Please contact Andrew Vines if you wish to provide a meal.

The Food Bank is an ongoing act of service.
